I'm really digging brad delong's blog:http://delong.typepad.com/egregious_moderation/ the post about the WSJ editorial board being slanted against the VAT is a must read for the users of this forum but I also found the posts about chinese kilns and his commentary on about the blog "balloon-juice" to also be engaging articles.
