The following news report got me to wondering:
"As of Thursday just before 11 p.m. EST, gunshots were fired on MIT's campus "
Why was the suspect on the MIT campus?
I do not mean to be insensitive to the victims of the Boston Bombings or to start immigrant hatred.
But we do have to ask about the huge number of temporary, non US citizens, that enter the country each year through the H1B and other temporary tech worker programs. I can not believe that with such huge numbers, that the government can do the proper back ground checks that can and should be done prior to entry of this country. I would say that 99.99% of these workers are good people, but it only takes one or two terrorists to cause havoc. Also keep in mind that tech workers probably have better skills at making improvised weapons than the average person.
