now: 1 car marriage down from 3 cars
1 year ago: "... my son, youngest adult child 'walked', graduated with a BA in Economics from California State University at Long Beach.
Monday: he starts his 1st full time job related to economics, buys our 2nd car with 9700 miles in it ... may be on his own 1 year from now

My sweet wife Olie does 95% of the routine, daily driving. She enjoys conversations with shoppers, store employees while my preference remains on the Internet. More often now she spends a day without visiting at her Southern California stomping grounds by staying home where I try not to be a bothersome distraction from videotaped her fun at home rather than dishing at the stores viewing of soap operas and Lifetime estrogen drenched movies.
Going to 1 car down from 3/2
Temporarily I own 3 cars ... 1 very soon will be 'surrendered' back to GM as a 'lemon law' vehicle providing us with a refund of the money paid for the purchase.
That leaves us with 2 cars ... 1 is the 'hot car' purchased to drive mostly on the 20 to 30 very hot temperature days at our home about 1 mile from the beach ... the 2008 Chevy Cobalt we prchased new with 4 miles now has 9305 miles on the odometer.
The 'hot car', Cobalt will go to our son whenever he manages to get a job located far enough from home that makes dropping him off inconvenient and to much time in heavy regional tariffic.
My sweet wife Olie selected 'Ironman Silver' paint for her 2013 Accent we took delivery of on Dec 21st. Silver remains a superstituous favorite for her adding a conincidental favorite on top of our silver phyical holdings.
Within a month we will become a 1 car marriage down from 3 cars.
Our 'Angle of Repose'.
