According to a poster at another site, E-verify was extended for an additional 6 months. Since there was no link provided, I can't verify this or not.

"By a vote of 50 to 47 the Senate tabled the Sessions E-Verify amendment to the Omnibus spending bill.
As most of you know the E-Verify program allows employers to check new employee legal status. The Session’s amendment would have created a 5 year extension of the program. The good news is that E-verify which was due to expire this month was extended 6 more months.
A "Yes" vote to table Amendment #604 is a vote AGAINST the extension of E-Verify for 5 years.
