Denninger has a good piece on Ron Paul's support of open borders and he skewers the Libertarian retards that support it as well.
As far is I'm concerned Paul would be even worse than any of the other candidates. He is a out and out traitor with a few gimmicks(Fed Res. is bad, gold standard) that distract people from what he really proposes.

In a word, no.
No nation can be successful if it allows unbridled immigration.
Here's the basic fact folks: The land upon which this nation rests belongs to you and I as citizens. That is, the "United States", as a collective, belongs to the citizens of the country. Each and every person who we allow to come into this nation adds to the "divisor" of people that have an indivisible claim on the resources of this nation.
Those resources are finite.
We, as owners, thus have every right to determine who can share in the fruits of those resources. As collective owners of the landmass and resources of The United States we have every right to set policy that allows people into this country only to the extent that (1) the nation can absorb them without having its resources unduly strained, and (2) they produce more and we retain more, in this nation, net-on-net, than they cost.
That's the beginning and end of it. An illegal immigrant is an invader. That person is intentionally and unlawfully diluting the common property interest of each and every other person in this nation. When that person then takes a job that an American could fill, he does even more damage. When he consumes social services the damage becomes additive to a further extent.
Those who wish to come to this nation and become part of America have a process to do so. It involves learning our Constitution, our language, and leaving behind their former allegiance so that their efforts and productivity go to the common wealth of every citizen of the nation.
The premise of an "open border" under some faux "Libertarian" principle is false. Libertarians believe that you have the right to do as you wish provided that you do not initiate force or fraud upon another.
Coming to a nation through illegal means is the initiation of force, in that doing so is a direct dilution of the value that each citizen inherently and collectively holds in the land and resources of the nation.
As such Libertarians of all stripes, whether with big or little "L", and irrespective of formal party declaration, must demand that immigration take place only through formal and controlled procedure, where it is demonstrated that the prospective new resident and ultimately citizen will be of net benefit in each, individual and divisible case, to the common prosperity of the nation.
