It's wrong to imply that this is a Republican bill. In fact, over a majority of the bill's sponsors are Democrats (At least 17 of the bill's 31 co-sponsors are Democrats.)
Democrats are just crawling all over themselves trying to find ways they can be "supportive" of Big Business--in order to get their big money campaign contributions.
