Welcome to the Economic Populist Forum. This Forum is open to everyone. Members may respond to posts, or start new threads. Non-members may also start threads and respond to posts. Membership is not required to post here.
Advertisements and links for commercial products or services are not permitted and will be removed.
Links to non-commercial websites and personal websites are permitted and encouraged. You may include them in your posts or in your signature. Again, the only links not permissible are links to commercial products or services.
Dissenting opinions are welcome here as well. However, threads that degenerate into nothing but name-calling matches will be locked.
I do have strong personal opinions on a number of subjects. However, posters are welcome to disagree. There's no penalty for expressing differing or conflicting opinions. All are welcome.
I encourage posters to try to put new threads in the appropriate category.

Hey Scott, welcome aboard.
Please feel free to post articles and opinions at your own pace. We are primarily focused on the economic attributes of populism on this board, but would be open to opening some legal and constitutional forums if there was much interest or material.
Definitely feel free to post links. esp links with explanations of the content.

Greetings! Very interesting reading here. Only have one complaint: the colors are too strong! Violent lime green and shocking pink give me a headache after reading for so long, LOL! Would you consider changing them??

I have a question, is this forum for "good immigration" or for "bad immigration"?

If you mean are the participants in this forum largely against illegal immigration then yes we are against bad immigration.
Does this board have a problem with people who take great personal risk to immigrate here legally - the answer is no most here are generally for legal immigration
other bad immigration is H1B visas that pit lower wage foreign tech workers against US college grads for the few available tech jobs.

Yes, most of us here are against illegal immigration. I think that would generally be considered "bad" immigration. Most of us do not support amnesty of any kind, regardless of any deceptive labeling it is given, such as "earned legalization." Most of us do not see any need to increase H1B visas or other types of work-related visas. Few of us believe the Corporatist propaganda about there being a labor shortage, or a shortage of skilled workers. The American working age population has grown by over 3,000,000 in the last 12 months, while total employment has increased only 670,000. The U.S. doesn't have any labor shortages. What we do have, however, is a shortage of employers willing to pay enough to hire American workers.

I saw it 25 yrs ago where a company I worked for hired Indian electrical engineers at 55% of pay and held out greencard...out of 12 engineers, the company delivered greencard on ZERO and any complaints, back to india they went true american capitalism at work and wh ythey have sold out america to china

Thanks! I'll use this evidence for my debate thing. I have another question. Do you have any evidence for:
illegal immigration is bad for illegals themselves?

I had a problem with this "membership not required" before, so I'm just posting to see what happens.
