Does it really save energy, increase productivity, create jobs?
Nah, say many critics of this archaic practice. In fact this year, because of the earlier observance it is estimated that it will cost the average comapny 50k in lost productivity and IT hours.
Save energy? - this myth is based on some incomplete studies from the 70s. In fact energy usage increase as more people are out driving later, mowing grass later, and running air conditioning later.
Create jobs? not one documented case where any significant job increases were a direct result of DST. Oh maybe some golf course hired some extra greenskeepers, but unliekly. In fact last year the golf course reported a 10% drop in business.
Time to stop this madness. Pick a time and stick with it.

I agree. It's disruptive to the extreme, and hard to see how it does much to save energy. People can readjust much of their time schedule so that they start doing everything an hour later.
