3,200 Marines prepare for Afghan tour By LOLITA C. BALDOR, Associated Press Writer WASHINGTON - Military officials said Monday that about 3,200 Marines are being told to prepare to go to Afghanistan — a move that will boost combat troop levels in time for an expected Taliban offensive this spring.
Once complete, the deployment would increase U.S. forces in Afghanistan to as much as 30,000, the highest level since the 2001 invasion after the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080115/ap_on_go_ca_st_pe/marines_afghanistan

When you see the Predator and other killer unmanned spy planes, you know they could get bin Laden if they wanted to. This makes a lie of the Afghan war, too.

Looks like Bush is going to get his wish after all — perpetual War.
I'm glad I never took up any offers to join the military. It's scary to think of who my commander-in-chief would have been.
"Moron-in-chief" is a more fitting title.
