And if things weren't bad enough with the fraudulent insurance system, soaking people for every last dime. This really takes the cake. The greed of these financial vultures has no bounds, instead of seeing sick people in need they only see a market that can be exploited. After soaking every last cent out of poor people by extending mortgages and charging rates and fees they couldn't afford, they now seek to soak every last cent out of the sick and needy. We really need a solution to our medical system. If you haven't seen "Sicko" yet, I highly recommend it. biz.yahoo.com/bizwk/071121/nov2007db20071120397008.html?.v=1

This is an incredible story. It's what happens when financial "innovation" gets injected into the medical field.
I'd encourage those victimized, and those who have no assets to confiscate, to simply refuse payment. People need to stop worrying about damaging their credit rating, and just worry about survival.

An additional sin is that medical providers give huge discounts to Blue Cross and other insurance companies. Private payer don't see those discounts, which appear to be in the 60-70% range.
