Obama is indeed Bush in terms of policy. He's just a black Neocon that's all.
And like Bush, he can't walk away from Libya anymore than Bush could from Iraq.
Air to ground is getting very tricky since most of the fighting is in urban areas and the government forces are now adopting guerilla tactics - using cars instead of APC's, etc. So IFF is almost impossible in those circumstances this is why we're calling it off.
But at the same time, he's expanded the scope of operations to include CIA and contract trainers/advisers. Once these guys fail in pulling the rebels fat out of the fire. Special ops teams will be next.
Still Obama remains a darling of the Left and the MSM.

It's more like Obama's Bay of Pigs: promise air support then abandon allies.

Speaking of Neocons - Wolfowitz made a appearance on CNN yesterday, he stills looks like he stepped out of a Nazi propaganda film, spouting we need to go all the way in.
When he approves of something you know it's bad and stupid.
Problem with air support in a urban area you need a AF Forward Air Controller to call the strikes in accurately(that also means some Rangers to protect him = boots on the ground). Otherwise you get carnage. Simply giving some primitive Libyan a SAT phone won't do it either since we don't know the loyalties of the tribesmen in the fighting. It's like giving them a magic boom stick that can level buildings with a single voice command.
But that's all Obama's problem since he listened to bunch of idiot neocon interventionists like Powers and Clinton who know nothing about everything and ignored Gates and the Pentagon brass who do know.
