Obama seems determined to alienate his entire base with his Corporatocratic, plutocratic debt dealings. In the video below, Adam Green--a previous die-hard Obama supporter--is expressing his disappointment with Obama's new-found rightward leanings.
from: The Declaration of Independence: "all Men are...endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights... to secure these Rights, Governments are instituted... whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these Ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it"
I am too quite surprised at how hard Obama is working to piss off his base and make them stay home.
But Clinton did the same thing with NAFTA and PNTR with China and turned a bunch of states from Blue to Red in 4 years.
In 2012 it'll be a Repuke's turn.
In another vein, it's further proof to me there is no difference between the parties today outside of bullshit social issues like gay marriage and opposing/supporting some horrid Southern fried Protestant version of prayer in our public schools. These issues only serve to put people at each others throats while the rich rip us off.
It wasn't always like this. But 30+ years of corporate PR efforts and systemic bribing of Congress has done it's work.
Eisenhower and Truman wouldn't even recognize their respective parties today. Hell neither could get elected today. Look at both parties. They are filled with drunken clowns, perverts, miscreants and morons. The kind of people you find on Sunset Blvd on Friday night.

jeffolie: One might short a bull ETF to gain the decay but this requires a margin position subject to changes imposed by the exchanges & brokers

jeffolie: Yes, the ETF features fading/leveraged decay because the futures and/or options used decay plus the administrative costs rise the decay, declining value ... I accept this as a cost and feature of all ETFs that purchase futures/options to maintain price
