What I have read and heard on TV news is that 95% of those having their cars impounded at sobriety checkpoints are illegals who do not have valid California driver's licenses resulting in their cars being impounded. Overwhelmingly, the impact of CA Gov's action helps illegals without licenses. ============================= SACRAMENTO - Gov. Jerry Brown has signed a bill that restricts local police from impounding vehicles at sobriety checkpoints if the driver's only offense is not being licensed. Opponents say it removes one deterrent to illegal immigrants driving without a license. The measure allows sober unlicensed drivers to get a licensed driver to remove the vehicle from the sobriety checkpoint to avoid being impounded. The bill will also allow drivers to pick up their car the next day, rather than impounding them for as much as 30 days. www.presstelegram.com/breakingnews/ci_19085853

I have a lot to say about Governor Brown regarding this, but I think I will let a picture tell a thousand words:
