How will China and India maintain their exports to America if they do this?
I'm not seeing how offshoring will survive the end of the US dollar as the world's reserve currency.

How will China and India maintain their exports to America if they do this? I'm not seeing how offshoring will survive the end of the US dollar as the world's reserve currency. Me neither. If the dollar loses its buying value, imports will cost a lot more American-made products will be relative cheaper--at least in this country. Foreign countries would probably put up barriers to exports from the US. But there's far less they could do prevent their exports to the US from becoming more expensive and less price-competitive here. And it's the US domestic market that matters the most. 85-90% of US products are sold to the US domestic market. It is far more important than our "export" markets.
