Thanks for continuing to remind us of this poll. Between the softball media response and the President's use of even General Hayden and others over whom he has power, to try to frighten Americans into accepting the loss of our civil liberties, one would conclude that Bush has general support among citizens for this illegal program.

The media is still referring to polls that claim to show that most Americans favor allowing Bush to wiretap. It's amazing how little air time this Zogby poll received.
The main stream media continues to be complicit in the Bush administration's misinformation campaign.

All in good time people....eventually all this blundering will catch up to the administration. The censure attempt may be a first step....though it will fail.

A March 8th poll by Zogby showed that 72% of American troops think we should leave Iraq within the year. Only 23% think we should stay "as long as necessary." Here's the quote from Zogby: " But it's not just ports where Bush has gone tone deaf. He has so lost his touch on Iraq that even the military is turning against him. In a recent Zogby poll, only 23 percent of the troops agree with Bush that we should stay as long as necessary; 72 percent want out in a year." Here's the link: ZogbyIs this what Bush means when he claims the moral of the troops is good?

It's amazing how little air time this Zogby poll received. That's because the media doesn't trust Zogby anymore, after that whole election polling fiasco. They're considered something of a rogue polling agency at this point. It'll take some time before anyone is willing to listen to them again.

It'll take some time before anyone is willing to listen to them again. No, that's not the reason. Many of us know good and well that Zogby's poll was a better predictor of the actual election outcome than the fraudulent results arrived at by the Republican manipulation of voting machines in the 2004 election. The reason the Right-Wing media doesn't quote Zogby is because he has the bad habit of stating the truth, instead of conjuring up lies that are beneficial to Corporate America, and by coming up with results that conflict with the fraudulent counting of the votes in November 2004. His results aren't widely published because the monopolized Corporate media doesn't want the truth to be disseminated. So they give tremendous exposure to their own self-serving, completely contrived polling results in order to drown him out. Zogby is one of the few pollsters that the Right-Wing Corporate media doesn't control.

You DO understand that exit polling matched the election results don't you? Your title for this topic is incorrect, the poll does NOT say 52% want Bush impeached.

It certainly is correct. However, it is not "complete" because there's not enough space to put the entire title in.
If there had been room, I would have put in Zogby Poll: 52% believe Bush should be impeached if he wiretapped Americans' phones without a court order.
I'll bet that % is a lot higher today, considering how low Bush's approval rating is now, and considering the splendid job he's doing running the country (running the country into the ground, that is.)

Would someone please "lewinski" Bush so he can be impeached already??
But of course if Bush were impeached and run out of office we are left with much much worse - Darth Cheney

You DO understand that exit polling matched the election results don't you? There you go again, trying to re-write history. Do you know that ALL of the original exit polling had Kerry winning the election. Then, without explanation, the exit polling became unavailable. And then it was apparently altered to fit the fraudulent election results. Like millions of other Americans, I was watching the results as they came in. And it looked like Kerry was going to win from the exit polls. Then Bush's fraudsters, like his brother Jeb and Carl Rove, got to work and contacted as many fellow fraudsters as possible to change the results. And they succeeded.

Not to mention the votes that "vanished" , and the 6000 mysteriously found in OH.

Check the facts for yourself. www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2004/pages/results/states/US/P/00/epolls.0.htmlBush won the exit polls and the ballots.
