In today's Senate debate over the Comprehensive Amnesty & Wage Suppression Bill, Senator Vitter (R-LA) proposed an amendment to remove the Z-visa provision of the bill (the provision providing immediate legal status to all 12-20 million illegal immigrants currently here.) The provision was voted down by a vote of 29-66. This means 66 U.S. Senators favor giving automatic and immediate legal status to 12-20 lawbreaking illegal immigrants. This is complete, unmitigated amnesty by any definition of the word.
It was a bipartisan sellout, with both a majority of Republicans and Democrats voting in favor of the Z-visa amnesty program.
Not surprisingly, cheap labor advocates Hillary Clinton and John McCain voted FOR the Z-visa amnesty provision.
Hopefully this bill will not make it through the House.

Clearly the US senate is more interested in representing Mexico than US citizens
One more reason, like I needed any more to dislike Clinton and McCain, two peas in a pod - both are more than eager to sell out principle over politics and special interest.

As stated previously, Senator Vitter submitted an amendment to the current Comprehensive Amnesty Bill to remove the Z-visa provision, which grants immediate legal status to all 12-20 million illegal immigrants currently in the U.S. The amendment failed by a vote of 29-66. All Democratic Presidential candidates in the Senate voted against the amendment (and in favor of granting unconditional amnesty to ALL illegal immigrants through the Z-visa). This includes Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and Chris Dodd. Some Democrats did stand up for American workers and voted to remove the Z-visa amnesty provision. Those were Senators Baucus, Byrd, Dorgan, Landrieu, McCaskill, Nelson (NE), Pryor, Rockefeller, and Tester. Senator Schumer did not vote. Below is the vote on the Vitter amendment to remove the Z-visa provision.
