There are so many falsehoods, deceptions, and propaganda in this article that it's impossible to comment on all of them.
My favorite is Paulson's bald-faced lie that "American industry is thriving, not declining." What numbers could he possibly be basing this on? Does he think none of us read the news or check economic statistics? Manufacturing employment declines every month. The manufacturing sector isn't just declining, it's collapsing. We've lost 3 million manufacturing jobs since Bush was fraudulently elected the 1st time, and we're still losing them. Durable Goods Orders are falling off a cliff. They've declined 7% in the last 2 months alone (and that's seasonally adjusted). That would be an annualized rate over the last 2 months of -42%.
Either Paulson is lying, or he's suffering from terminal dementia.

He obviously hasn't been any where near a typical industrial park where half the buildings are "for lease" or "for sale" - hardly a sign of a prospering industrial base.
The product coming out of these so called think tanks is not different than my product while sitting on the "think tank"
