Ohhhh this one takes the cake. I had to post this here, it is unbelievable. Talk about a shortage of skilled workers in the US, there is such a shortage companies have to hire immigration lawyers in order to exploit loopholes in the H1B visa law in order to intentionally disqualify skilled US workers from getting jobs here. This is an outrage, this needs to be fixed, although I wont hold my breath. Watch the video on you tube, linked to the story here. citizen.typepad.com/eyesontrade/

Gee, this dipshit's office is located in Downtown Pittsburgh. I wonder if any locals could organize a protest to at least draw attention to this lawfirm's shaddy, unethical behavior.

This is another link to the same video regarding how to exploit the H1B visa loopholes-VideoBelow are 2 snapshots from the video showing direct quotes from this pack of sleazeballs. They actually describe a process on how to find a "legal" way to disqualify American applicants for the job, so they can then dishonestly claim that there were no Americans who were qualified for the position. That allows them to hire a lower-waged H1B visa holder. Someone needs to send this video to every member of Congress and the Senate-- especially California's disgustingly worthless Senator, Dianne Feinstein, who voted for cloture on the Comprehensive Amnesty Bill, and called everyone who opposes it a racist.

In viewing the previous video from the crooked immigration law firm, I ran into another good video on H1B visas from the Lou Dobbs show. This one was noteworthy in that it gave the actual number of American graduates in the fields of math, engineering, computer science, and information technology. Then it compared that number with the annual number of jobs created in those fields. The link to the video is at: According to the U.S. Dept. of Education, there are 300,000 graduates per year in the math, engineering, computer science, and information technology fields. In contrast to the number of graduates, the Dept. of Labor states there are only 120,000 jobs created per year in the math, engineering, computer science, and information technology fields. If these numbers are correct, this leaves a surplus of 180,000 graduates per year in the math, engineering, computer science, and information technology fields. So again, how many H1B visas do we need to fill those "unfillable" math, engineering, computer science, and information technology positions??? My count is a -180,000. Sounds to me like we need to start deporting (exporting?) surplus H1B workers, not importing them. Hmmm. Maybe I just need to take a NeoCon math class-- you know, one of those classes that says 300,000 is less than 120,000.

Yes, and add to that the number of engineers and hi tech workers who are being let go by the thousands every year due to downsizing and shuttered manufacturing facilities, and we really are floating in H1B visas.

These clowns sure are proud of themselves. I wish they would have their jobs outsourced too. Just to see how it feels.

It would be great if someone could juxtapose those videos above with one on Bill Gates groveling in front of Congress begging for more H1B visas.
I wonder how much these sleazy corporations have spent for immigration lawyers and crooked lobbiests in an attempt to avoid paying workers a decent wage, compared to what they would have spent if they just hired workers at a fair wage to begin with?

- Indeed
So much for the so called "skilled worker" shortage that NAM and Gates keep whining about - pure BS.
The only shortage is of workers willing to work for third world wages.
On a recent NPR "On Point" program they were discussing H1Bs and the fact that the majority of them go to shell organizations for outsourcers - to facilitate job offshoring. They also said that the US schools cranks out the most tech graduates per year than any other country - India and China don't even produce enough for their own internal needs.

Yes, these are the highly trained engineers I know that gave up trying to find manufacturing jobs and now fix copiers, install cable and satellite dishes, stock shelves in supermarkets, sell janitorial supplies and manage video stores.
I can't imagine spending thousands of dollars and toughing out 300 and 400 level engineering classes to end up selling urinal cakes and mop buckets.
