Government agencies including the CIA, religious entities including the Catholitic Church, as well as crackpots of all types can and do edit Wikipedia. It is convenient but unreliable just as is a lot of what goes on in the internet.

It was a little difficult to determine exactly what the message at the site is, or who did what to whom. However, I finally did find a case where the editing change was clear. It's the one where Fox News edited the Wikipedia entry on Al Franken, his book, National Public Radio, and Fox News itself. Below is a link to a couple of the the changes in the commentary on Al Franken. The edits are in red. from scrolling back and forth one can see what was changed from the original. (Imagine someone having the nerve to say that " 'wholly without merit' is a good characterization of Fox New itself.") en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Al_Franken&diff=next&oldid=25221039There's a lot real interesting stuff on Al Franken. For example, I really didn't know that Al Franken had been " a member of the Nazi Party" or that " Al Franken actually set up the plane crash and wanted Sen. Wellstone to die so he could run[/i][/url]" for the Senate. Wow! The things you can learn on Wikipedia. Truly noteworthy stuff. And practically all of it's true
