Hey UnLC, I know you, and you know me from other boards, but wandering in from the cold i was wondering what the details of the board were, and who else was here.
Thought I would open one of these as a meet and greet and define our purpose place.
So what's the scoop?
BTW, lotsa features on this format, it will take quite a while to figure them all out.
Do you plan to archive data and links? The backbone of laymen's economics is a basic database of useful stats. Does the bandwidth and your intentions lend themselves to creating a repository of data sources and stats?
Glad to see your ambition at work!!

Does the bandwidth and your intentions lend themselves to creating a repository of data sources and stats? Glad to see your ambition at work!! LC, Glad to have you on board. I'm still working on how to organize and format the board myself. I'm encouraging open discussion about economics and the political aspect of economics as well. The mission and purpose is to improve everyone's understanding of the American economy, and how politicians and others affect our economy. Other topics can also be posted. The advantage to this forum over a blogsite is that anyone can post new topics. It's also much easier to access and navigate than a blogsite. It also allows for graphic postings by those responding to posts, as well as by the thread starter. Links can also be posted using a more standard format. I don't think I'll be archiving any topics. Those that aren't popular will simply move to the last pages due to inactivity. Anything I've written myself can be reposted anywhere else, as long as it doesn't result in me being tortured by anyone in the Bush administration (I really hate water-boarding.) I'm always open to suggestions and new ideas. Unlawflcombatnt
