According to someone on YouTube, this isn't the first time he's made such a claim about a relative in WWII. In 2002, he claimed his grandfather had "heard the stories of fellow troops who first entered Auschwitz and Treblinka." Now, normally I wouldn't post something from an unknown source on YouTube but he provides this link from Obama's own website as proof. You would think that in referencing his grandfather hearing about Auschwitz that he would also mention his other relative who actually participated in the liberation of Auschwitz (or now Buchenwald as we're now told.). By the time Obama is done spinning, the story will be that it was his fifth cousin, twice removed, once spelled "Auschwitz" to win a 5th grade spelling bee, is what he meant to say. Uh, huh. And his uncle/great uncle must have dodged sniper fire on the way into the camp too, right? www.barackobama.com/pdf/warspeech.pdfliar, liar

Obama mistaken on name of Nazi death campNORTH LAS VEGAS, Nevada (AP) — The Barack Obama campaign said Tuesday the candidate mistakenly referred to the wrong Nazi death camp when relating the story of a great uncle who helped liberate the camps in World War II.
The Democratic presidential candidate said the story is accurate except that the camp was Buchenwald, not Auschwitz.www.usatoday.com/news/politics/election2008/2008-05-27-obama-auschwitz_N.htm?csp=34

The liar Obama was stupid. If he had an ounce of political common sense, he would have known that his false story would be checked out by his opposition. Didn't he learn anything from Hillary's false story of being under sniper fire or did he think he would get a free pass on telling lies.

I have yet to see proof that his great uncle didn't liberate Buchenwald. And yes, jeffolie, I'm considering your "proof." I would think the Republicans would be all over this if there was a shred of truth in it.
