Well there were some of us here who predicted this, and sadly it has come to fruition. Not only do they need a "buy American" clause for steel, any TARP funds should come with a "must be invested or spent in America" clause. This is just maddening. We can only hope if this shit keeps happening, it will wake up many of the uninformed masses as to who has been selling them out all these years! www.laht.com/article.asp?CategoryId=12396&ArticleId=320909General Motors to Invest $1 Billion in Brazil Operations -- Money to Come from U.S. Rescue Program By Russ Dallen Latin American Herald Tribune staff
"SAO PAULO -- General Motors plans to invest $1 billion in Brazil to avoid the kind of problems the U.S. automaker is facing in its home market, said the beleaguered car maker.
According to the president of GM Brazil-Mercosur, Jaime Ardila, the funding will come from the package of financial aid that the manufacturer will receive from the U.S. government and will be used to "complete the renovation of the line of products up to 2012."
"It wouldn't be logical to withdraw the investment from where we're growing, and our goal is to protect investments in emerging markets," he said in a statement published by the business daily Gazeta Mercantil."

Don't waste your time pissing on politicians. We live in a plutocracy. As long as the country is in the hands of the rich ( Think Lobbying, K Street ), they will shit on the middle class and the poor. Change that, and you will begin to restore America to a democracy. P.S., throw the Traitor, War Criminals Bush, Cheney, Delay, Army, etc. in jail.

The fact is most of the American are against the bailout of the big three automakers and TARP in general.
Calls were about 100 to 1 against it.
The problem is the Democratic and Republican politicos no longer listen to us but to Wall Street.
Look at Obama's administration, its loaded to the gills with corporatists who seek to continue Bush style economic policies.
Congress is controlled by two of the most corrupt politicians in our history(Reid and Pelosi) who only care about taking care of Wall Street and letting the rest of the nation rot.

The problem is the Democratic and Republican politicos no longer listen to us but to Wall Street. Look at IBM's administration, its loaded to the gills with corporatist who seek to continue Bush style economic policies. Walt, I think you've nailed it . Politicians listen to no one except their campaign contributors. It's as if no one else even exists. The TARP fiasco was a perfect example. There's not a rep in Washington that didn't know the People of the US were over 99% against it. The ass-bite pollsters try to make it sound like there really is some support for the bailout, because they only poll the rich. The calls coming into the Congressional switchboards tell the real story. Americans opposed the bailouts, and especially the release of the 2nd half of the TARP TURD funds. But the Obamamessiah, just as he had before the original TURD vote, strong-armed supporters into releasing the 2nd half of the funds without any evidence of where the 1st 1/2 had gone, in complete violation of what he and Congress had promised.

And the way Obama was able to get the other half of the TARP funds released without a quibble of protest from Congress and a total pass by the media is sickening.
Almost $400 billion disappears in what amounts to a bank heist.
Obama makes Al Capone and Ponzi look like saints. But thats what we get for electing a bullshitting "community organizer" from Chicago who spent most of his time screwing his own kind for profit.
WTF were the Democrats thinking when they selected this piece of shit?
Worse the MSM is covering him like the old Soviet and ChiCom media covered their "glorious leaders". From Vanity Fair, Newsweek to CBS, Obama is portrayed as the savior who will fix everything. This will also ensure that the public is kept in the dark about Obama's and the Democrats raping of America.
But wait there's more!!
Look who Obamessiah just selected Judd Gregg as Commerce Secretary. A man who is: Pro NAFTA, Pro CAFTA. Pro H1-B guest visa workers. Pro Illegal Alien.
Can you feel the change?
Can you feel the hope?

Obama should just go ahead and re-register as a Republican right now. Gregg is not only a Republican, he's the pukiest of the Republicans. He's not only pro-NAFTA and pro-CAFTA, he's also a supporter of PNTR with China.
