Sorry.
My eyes were opened about 4 years ago. Last election I voted for Duncan Hunter in primaries, then when Bush the Globalist won, Chuck Baldwin in general election.
Amazingly Duncan Hunter was the only candidate in the Republican Primaries that wasn't a glassy eyed open border/free traitor.
They're free traitors, not free traders.
TRAITORS!

Why is not wanting to destroy the economy, populism? It's common sense.

What I can't figure out is why that "common sense" is not more pervasive.

Amen to all of the above.
Though I don't like his religious right leanings, I would have voted for Chuck Baldwin had he been on the California ballot.
Baldwin was the only candidate to openly come out in favor of tariffs.
Most recently, Baldwin has voiced some really impressive anti-Corporatocrat, anti-plutocrat points of view.

I voted Libertarian straight ticket once in the 1990's. I WAS STUPID! STUPID STUPID STUPID! Only votes I ever regret. I don't regret voting for Bush in 2000. But I do regret that one time I voted Libertarian. Their ideology has infected and destroyed the Republican Party. I was STUPID STUPID STUPID! Oh, I voted for Sheriff Joe Arpaijo (R) 3 times. Eat your hearts out. I should have voted for Ross Perot, but I was caught up in the Libertarian paranoia. That and I was fined a few times over the years adding up to about $1,000 while driving truck, so I was acting out at the voting booth. One fine was a couple hundred dollars for lying on my logbook. This was during the 8 hours on, 10 hours off rules. Try doing that; 8 hours awake, 10 hours sleeping; 18 hour day. The sun rises and sets every 24 hours, all mammals on the planet are on a 24 schedule. You would be, and I was, in permanent jet lag with 18 hours. So I lied, deliberately and happily broke the law.
