Day of Reckoning
Highly recommended read.
I bought this one as a gift for my mom who is a huge Buchanan fan. I started flipping thru it and next I knew I was half way thru the book. a real page turner. He lays out some real scary stuff that neo- conservative economics and foreign policy are doing to our national sovereignity and security and its parallels in history.
Military spread way too thin in entangling alliances
Hollowing out of our manufacturing base
The invasion of illegals
The North American Union
the rise of china militarily and economically
How Iraq is destroying our security and credibility around the world
Highly recommend this book

I think I'll try to get the book myself. I've already read part of Buchanan's Where the Right Went Wrong.
Before I buy anything else, however, I want to finish Confessions of an Economic Hitman. So far it's been an outstanding book. Much of what author Perkins says would not have been believable in the time prior to the Bush dictatorship. Now it's not hard at all, especially after reading corroborating commentary by Joseph Stiglitz.

I have also heard Naomi Klein's book " The Shock Doctrine" is a good read about how government's with corporation's help exploit any disaster(9-11, New Orleans, Iraq) to profit handsomely from these events.

Too many books to read.
I also want to get Klein's book. But I still have a couple I haven't yet read.
