All the singers at the Grammy's were females or males that sang in falsetto, femine styled voice. The only traditional male, and he won a grammy was the comedian Steven Colbert. Many of the female singers had deeper voices than the couple of male signers.
I like female signers. I enjoy their performances.
Males were left almost only with the couple of categories that were labelled "best male...". Males were merely after thoughts included in the celebrity performances of Bon Jovi and Best Spoken Word Album.
Over my 60 some years, I have watched music, singing styles come and go. Every generation has its own.
Women are the majority of college students and maybe society has pushed women to suceed while men are out of favor. Certainly the male dominated manufacturing jobs are out of favor.
Few children are raised by their biological fathers. Almost all black children do not have their biological father in the house. The same is true for most Hispanics although not as high a rate as blacks. 30% of whites children now are from single family, meaning mothers only families. Now add to this that divorce exceeds marriages. What you end up with is that 30% (60% divided by half for divorces) of white children have their biological father in the home. And the percentage shrinks to single digits for the minorities.
Let's face it, men are not wanted by women for permanent relationships. 70% of divorces are initiated by the woman, not the man. Women do not put up with nor keep men in a 'til death do you part' lifestyle.
It appears to me that now America is a female focused society.
The decline of the male role and cultural role of men is pervasive yet all but absent from the national dialog, indeed from the dialog of the entire Western world. Absurdly false feminist myths such as a belief that women are underpaid relative to men for the same output of work, or that adultery and domestic violence are actions committed exclusively by men, are embedded even within the dialog of sitcoms and legal dramas.
If things are this bad, why don't we hear anything about it? Indeed, The answer lies within the fundamentals of male psychology. Most passive men would rather die than be called a 'loser' by women. Assertive men know better than to take this at face value. So an loser man is faced with the prospect of being shamed by women and sucessful men if he protests about the injustice, and this keeps him suffering in silence. We have millions of fine young men willing to die on the battlefield, but we don't see protests of even 100 divorced men. Few Men's Rights Advocates websites exist and few exchange information on their blogs.
Men have retreated in our society and spend much time and money on internet porn.
