His latest at www.RobertReich.org : Why Democrats Should Not Join In Economic Scapegoating Sunday, October 10, 2010 Deep economic crises are fodder for demagogues who channel economic fear into a politics of resentment against “them.” In the 1930s it was foreign traders (mainly Europeans), immigrants, and Jews. Now it’s foreign traders (mainly the Chinese), immigrants, and Muslims. How do you explain the surging animosity toward foreign trade, particularly toward China? Candidates for midterm elections are running tens of millions of dollars of ads attacking their opponents for being too sympathetic to China. ---------- How about the millions of jobs unfairly outsourced to the Commies, huh? How about our 6:1 trade deficit, year after year? GB

The guy never really gave a shit about the American worker or the country for that matter. And the fact he's sticking up for a communist dictatorship shows he's only about the $$$.

Volker is on the wrong side of 'free trade' and tariffs as well as is Reich. Who is standing up and declaring that the average American needs protection? answer: unlc and the rest of us here

Volker is on the wrong side of 'free trade' and tariffs as well as is Reich. Who is standing up and declaring that the average American needs protection? answer: unlc and the rest of us here Volker, Reich, Obama, et al are too concerned with rich investors and about being good "global" citizens, instead of being good American citizens. This seems to be a glaring weakness with both political parties.
