More from the same post on Daily Kos: " Somehow, some way, McConnell got much richer in 2008, getting at least $5M from somebody.
That somebody was his second wife's father, who made his fortune in shipping Chinese-made goods to the USA.
Elaine Chao married McConnell in 1993, and was George W. Bush's anti- Labor Secretary for the full 8 years.
According to Laura Flanders, her father, James Chao: So Mitch McConnell has moved from the upper-middle class of a lifelong government employee into the real upper class ($20M or so net worth) of someone who married a woman with a rich father.
Who just happened to become rich from his connections with the rulers of communist China.
Villagers would say that this is old news, "free" trade is great for everybody, we like Mitch and Elaine, and want him to return our calls, etc.
So they have not reported on the source of McConnell's mega-wealth (relative to the rest of us), and how that source has presumably, for 20 years or so, affected McConnell's positions on "free" trade and its devastating impact on millions of Americans who used to have decent manufacturing jobs.
McConnell and his wife are cheap-labor Republicans who hate the idea of American factory workers making more than $15 an hour." Both are cheap-labor, anti-American Free-Traitors.

Yes. And maybe DailyKOS ought to publish an article on how Democrats had a super majority in both houses of Congress for 4 consecutive years along with a Democrat president for 2 of those years as if it would matter since a super majority overrides a veto.

you fail at math fredorbob
They democrats didn't get the supermajority in the senate until the election of al franken was certified some 6 months into 2009 (june 30 2009). The democrats then lost the supermajority with the death of Kennedy, and the subsequent election of Brown in Jan 2010.
So- that "4 years" you mentioned...
was only 6months. Not sure how they treat numbers on some of the other forums you vist- but here on an economics forum they are going to matter.
That being said- the democrats were downright stupid to prioritize healthcare reform over economic stimilus/policy and will go down in history as one of the greatest errors of all time.

McConnell is traitorous piece of shit like most Republicans. Most would sell their kids to a pederast if the money was right. The buggers are all about money worship and class warfare.
Still got to admit their gall, they pretend to be decent people during the election then once elected turn into gangsters that make the Mexican government look honest by comparison.

You forgot about the Republican who switched Democrat what's his name. It doesn't matter if the Senate is 58 (+2 independents):40, it's practically 100:0 when it comes to Free Traitors vs. non Free Traitors. Are you trying to get me to vote Democrat? Are you pushing the Democratic Party? I'll remind you it's the Democratic Party with a 200 year history of defending Free Trade, even starting a civil war over it once, ended up getting half a million Americans dead.

McConnell is traitorous piece of shit like most Republicans. Which reminds me of when Clinton and the DNC were caught taking illegal contributions from the communist Chinese government. Clinton paid them back with PNTR and Kyoto. Of course, republicans also signed PNTR but their reasoning was different, I've read that they said American manufacturers wouldn't be able to compete against cheaper foreign imports so they signed it. Clinton signed it because he got contributions. And since PNTR, we've lost probably between 4 and 8 million jobs, most of them I believe were shipped to China. Not a bad investment on the part of the Chinese. Luckily for us, Kyoto wasn't ratified else we'd have been really screwed.

If the Democrats, when they had a super majority, would have passed at the very least a 20% Tariff on all Chinese goods even I would have voted for them this last election. And that's only China, practically every country on this planet has a population earning far less then the median American wage.
They could have balanced the budget on that.

Kramer,
And who supported all of Clinton's Free Trade legislation lock stock and barrel? Republicans that's who.
Who conceived of NAFTA? George Bush Sr.
Who killed Glass-Stegall? The illustrious Phil Gramm along with the GOP and most Democrats. This was a national disgrace but most people were too stupid to understand the implications.
Who voted PNTR with China? Almost all Senate Republicans, except for 5.
Wow, so much for Republicans standing up for anything except their bribe from Wall Street.
To this day you won't find a single Republican who doesn't support Free Trade and kissing the asses of the Communists who ripping this country apart economically.
Heck it made McConnell a rich man by kissing communist ass and marrying into the communist party.
And you won't even find rank and file Republicans who care either. Heck all they care about is giving blowjobs to the rich like a bunch of French serfs.
My local newspaper is full of letters from Rethugs complaining how bad the rich have it, and not once over the decades have I read a single letter from this sorry ass lot about free trade, H1-B visa workers, etc.
But at the end of the day, both political parties have to go. Both have degenerated into two Mafia style families where the name of the game is personal enrichment at the expense of the country.
And if the people don't stop supporting these maggots they deserve to be slaves for the Chinese.

About 95% of Republicans are neo-feudalist cheap foreign labor lovers. About 75% of Democrats are neo-feudalist cheap foreign labor lovers. The solution isn't to play the lottery and vote Democrat and pray.

Agree, that's why both parties have to be replaced. But it's not going to happen for a while. We'll probably have to have a 30-40% unemployment rate before people get their heads out of the sand.
We'll get there though, it's just a matter of time before the crooks in D.C. take the whole system down - hard.

If history shows something it's that the Republican Party will be replaced by a new party while the Democratic Party keeps on trucking. From Teddy Roosevelt to Ross Perot and his Reform Party to the Tea Party, the Republican Party has always been under threat of being anihilated while the Democratic Party just plain old knows how to maintain political power at all costs.
