As I posted before, I have a niece working on her PhD now in Chicago, traveled a lot in the ME including a stay in Syria for about a year, speaks fluent Arabic...has live feeds on her Facebook page in Arabic. I continue to understand that women coordinate and organize some events in the ME using Facebook, Twitter, etc. =============================== Syria In Chaos As Thousands Of Protesters Storm Government Buildings And Burn Them Mar. 20, 2011, Protests in Syria have escalated today with thousands on the streets in the wake of government attacks on protesters. Great maybe these hip, cool, progressive Facebookers can topple another secular regime and replace it religious fanatics that like to murder religious minorities like in Egypt, Iraq, Afghanistan and soon to be Tunisia.
Funny how those hip, cool, Facebookers never mention that side of regime toppling. Then again I suspect human life isn't high on their priority list or at least those that aren't Muslim college students. Guess Christians, Sufis, Yedzis, Zorastrians can get the Hitler treatment as far as they're concerned.
I think the label bigoted, mentally deficient and morally bankrupt pretty much covers the facebookers.
Reminds me of those Americans who thought Stalin was a great guy doing great things during the Depression, even though he was slaughtering his people by the millions.
The facebookers should stick to farmville or some other fatuous fantasy that tickles their fancy.

Facebookers are organizing and coordinating but not promoting Jefferson's values. Changing one group of murdering haters with another group of murdering haters gains little or nothing. Often, it has been pointed out that democracy has installed murderous tyrants. The Facebook revolts do not not inspire me to hope for peaceful, liberty generating governments. Libyans that Christians (US, France, UK, etc) are supporting against Gaddafi most likely do not want any Christians in Libya. I doubt that Christians (US, France, UK, etc) are going to benefit at all.
