Say you're an Indian in India filling out a census form, do you actually have to write down your Caste? Who would actually admit they are part of a lower Caste? fills in circle with #2 pencil: Untouchable Yeah right, someone is going to fill it out that way, Is it a crime in India to pretend you are from a different Caste? I've heard that Hindu doctors are Untouchable caste.

Hindu doctors are mostly upper caste Brahmans.
Also higher castes have much better access to a quality education say unlike a Dalit(untouchable) or other lower castes which makes it easier for them to get a education.
Though from what I've been able to read, in the cities, the caste distinctions aren't as bad as they used to be due to government policies.
