Palin is running for office....make no mistake about it. What mother of 5 would go through all this trouble to save America when hubby wanted to secede from the union? The best case scenario is she will distract Pres. Obama from over spending, if that's is the case. Nah, that isn't her mission. Hubby is a Union worker, and probably a protectionist, which is why you won't see him next to his wife and he refuses to talk about politics cause it disgusts him. I bet hubby and the anointed one have allot of cold moments. If you want to know about Palin, you must first learn about Hubby, because like a typical politician Palin's real beliefs and agenda are locked up secrets.

Ron Paul predicts anarchy, poverty and chaos... And I want to thank Ron Paul for being a leading voice in creating political anarchy, intellectual poverty, and economic chaos.

If the right isn't represented by palin, beck, rush, then who is it represented by? (on a side note, whoever does emerge as a leader on the right better have some serious brass balls to handle these egos) I don't think they have a leader at all. They have a disorganized bunch of noisemakers and wannabes. But there is no current leader--at least not anyone who could be taken seriously. Considering we are a Representative Republic, I find a "leaderless" political movement such as the teaparty to be a mockery of that most basic (simple) Constitutional Principle where you elect someone to lead you for a term. (starts headbanging)

Sarah Palin's statements and statements about demonstrate how stupid, uneducated and shallow she presents herself. I ignore her whenever possible. The TeaBaggers cheered and paid her $100,000 to present her 'entertainment' at their convention. I do not care that she was paid or that she had to read off the palm of her hand. I generally ignore political presentations but I enjoy posting. This personal contradiction does not bother me. "Teabaggers" "She read off the palm of her hand." "What was she wearing?" "Her hid is retarded?" "Is she experienced?" That is all people remember, because what she said, or what her platform is, or how she would govern, isn't important.

" China’s economy will slow down “meaningfully” and may even be at risk of a “crash” because of the nation’s excess capacity and as loan growth slows, investor Marc Faber said.
China's excess capacity is a military spending buffer for dual-use factories. I can't wait for the day when it happens. Chinese factories one day being converted to produce 500,000 tanks, 40 million vehicles, 300 million rifles, a million torpedoes, 200,000 jets... That's their excess capacity.

What about just good old fashion tariffs which also generate revenue for the government, so your income isn't taxed so much.

well- how would imports on oil work in this scenario? Supply would eventually meet demand. People who really have no faith in basic economic theory like supply and demand, would disagree.

I uh, hehe, uh, had my floor mat once get stuck on my accelerator too, but I hit the cluch and the engine just revved until the belt came off (which only took like 10 seconds). That was on my 300Z Nissan, which was a crap car that just eventually fell apart (mirrors falling off, electrical leak somewhere...). My Camaro was much better.
I threw away the floor mat after that. Good move if you have one.

Its more like 70-90%, the only reason people stay in a political party is to vote in their primaries. I'm registered Republican so I can vote in their primaries, i'm not affiliated with them.

The DOW is not a proper barometer for the 'American' economy. It's a measurement of international corporations that does more buying and selling outside of the US.

America's current business model of importing cheap goods and services .... Really? "Cheap goods"? Oil is 50 cents a gallon? Import Cars are $5,000? Imported Computer Power Supplies are $5? Imported shirts are a dime a dozen? Really? "Cheap Goods"? I bet if I looked, I can find pre-1860 southern Senators and Congressmen voting to increase tariffs on imported Indian Cotton, the hypocrites they are. I bet I'd find it, if I looked.

Since the "tea party" is leaderless, has no platform, is not centralized in any way whatsoever, then how can you criticize something that doesn't exist.
Don't worry about the "tea party", lefties, it will go nowhere.

Jeffolie wrote: Hitler rose to power it part because of the financial collapse arising from the harsh reparations imposed on post WWI Germany. Financial collapse in America has the potential for danger to our freedoms. And that's a distinct possibility given that we have no real viable 3rd party to channel people's anger into something productive. Instead all we have are the corporate funded Teabaggers who are composed mainly of economically illiterate, proto-fascist Southerners who think bending over for Wall Street is our duty. The Left may mock them but these folks are lunatics who are just as bad as the Marxists are on the Left. Well you're a little cruel there about southerners there, but there is a little truth there about southern culture being globalist free traitors and the last holdout for Republican neoconnory.

The Greens, Libertarians, and Paleo-Republicans forming a 3rd party would be like Hitler and Stalin signing a pact, eventually there's going to be a Night of the Long Knives or Operation Barbarrossa. And if that's so, I say we hit them first. *evil grin*

It's not much, but every little step helps. The Commerce Dept. announced today that it was levying duties on imported Chinese electric blankets--due to unfair trade practices by China. from Reuters: US slaps duties on electric blankets from Chinareported by Doug Palmer Wed, Jan 27 2010 " he United States has set preliminary anti-dumping duties ranging from 90% to nearly 175% on about $30 million worth of electric blankets from China, the U.S. Commerce Department said....
Wow electric blankets, how amazing *does jerk off motion with hand*. God I hate this. They're doing it all wrong. When tariffs are too high it doesn't generate revenue for the government. Either the government is going to tax YOU'RE INCOME or a Chinese Company. I don't like prohibitively high tariffs or quotas. Tariffs can be a wonderful thing when they: A) Protect American jobs when a foreign trading partner is being a dick, which is most of the time. B) Generate revenue for the government. Tariffs can do BOTH simultaneously. Tariffs are GREAT TOOLS, wonderful things, when used right. (Ron Paul would have a heart attack if he read this)

I got no problem with raising taxes to meet expenditures of goverment, so fat banksters don't gorge themselves off our interest payments cause of debt. I have a big problem with Green-Commies absolutely raping science and the education level of the public with their Global Warming Satanism. And that's what you Greens are, you are Satanists, agents of evil and death and destruction; the muslims have done their worse but the damage the Green Satanists can and will cause has not been seen yet.
