But he's still doing better than congress ;D
A congress who has failed to deliver on the voters wishes of ending the iraq war and putting some speed bumps into the race to the bottom.

Why does almost everyone ignore the recent awful amnesty bill when they mention the low approval of Busch and Congress? The war is bad; the invasion of illegal aliens is closer to home, so to speak.
I predict the Dem who comes out against illegal immigration has the best chance of being our next President. CNN failed to select a YouTube question on illegal aliens for the Dems in the debate. That has to be intentional. It would turn the polls upside down.
Where does Gore stand on illegal immigration?

Clinton basically said as much on stage during one of the debates. Edwards has pretty much said the same in an interview on Air America. I think all the Democratic Presidential candidates are pretty bad on illegal immigration. And they just refuse to budge, because being pro-Amnesty is one way they can get campaign contributions from the Chamber of Commerce, Corporate America, and Corporate Agriculture. It's still the 1-dollar, 1-vote principle. And Corporate America has more dollars.

Of course how could I forget illegal immigration - the precise issue for which the dems lose me It does go hand in hand with globalization and the economic woes associated with it. So its pretty much a triple play - the congressional dems have struck out on the three major issues that got them into power in the first place. The economy, the war, and the illegal invasion.

So its pretty much a triple play - the congressional dems have struck out on the three major issues that got them into power in the first place. The economy, the war, and the illegal invasion. A triple play is exactly right. Congressional Dems don't seem to be catching on at all, with a few isolated exceptions (McCaskill, Tester, Webb, and Dorgan). I can't believe they haven't just taken the Comprehensive Amnesty bill out and publicly burned it. Constituents' calls were coming in at 100:1 to 1,000:1 in opposition to it. They need to take the hint. Regarding trade, some of the Dem leaders (Rangel, Pelosi, Emmanuel, et al) are still trying to "work something out". They don't need to "work" anything out. They need to "throw" everything out. Cancel NAFTA. Cancel CAFTA. Withdraw from the WTO. Pass a bill permanently outlawing any Presidential Fast-Track Authority. Ever. The Dems again are in the driver's seat on Iraq. Bush is pushing for passage of the Defense appropriations bill. Dems should simply refuse to pass anything, until Bush sets a hard-fast date for withdrawal from Iraq. Bush can either follow the will of the people and set a time table for withdrawal, or he can be responsible for having the entire Defense Dept. shut down.

Yah, "work something out" and sell it to the american people Definitely not what they were elected to do - we need to get rid of these DLC traitors that are "in charge" and vote in some people who really care about middle and working class people in this country - not special corporate interests

Yeah, how did we pull out of Vietnam again? Oh yeah, we cut off the funding!! Geez, either these dems are fearful of being "swiftboated" or many of them "DLCers" are in bed with AIPAC and other powerful military related lobbyists.
