I received the following letter in my mailbox about slimeball Bill Gates' latest attempt to import cheap foreign labor to replace higher-paid American workers. Gates certainly is a real "patriot." What country he's a patriot of is the big question.

Next Wednesday Bill Gates will storm back to Washington DC in order to testify to a Senate committee. Expect him to make the case that the U.S. cannot be competitive without an increase in the yearly H-1B cap, more employment based green cards, and easier ways for foreign students to stay in the U.S. and take jobs. Don't be surprised if he asks for the Skil bill to be resurrected, and expect to hear the phrase "American competitiveness"
a lot.
Last year Gates went to Washington DC twice but failed to win an H-1B increase. Hopefully the third time won't be a charm.
Very little has been written in the press about the impending Gates trip to DC. These short blurbs are about all the information available at the time of this writing. I don't have any information about who else will be at the hearing and whether anyone will rebut Gates.

Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates is scheduled to descend on Capitol Hill next week to pepper a U.S. Senate committee with his suggestions for boosting American competitiveness.
The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee said Friday that it has lined up Gates to speak at a public hearing slated for 9:30 a.m. EST on Wednesday morning.
The Microsoft boss plans to renew his pleas for Congress to raise the cap on H-1B visas for skilled foreign workers, a company spokeswoman said Friday. He has previously called for scrapping the limits entirely. ...
Wednesday's event would mark Gates' third time participating in a congressional hearing and the first such occasion since 1999, when he spoke about the growth of the "digital economy" before the Joint Economic Committee....
