Mexican Gangs Take Over L.A. As Cops Back Down rense.com/general75/mme.htmFrom Don Stacey 3-19-07 On National Public Radio last month (February)....a spokesman for the Los Angeles PD, stated that the 90,000 cops of the LAPD have been "overwhelmed" by street gangs in the area now numbering somewhere between 150,000 to 200,000 in strength. And these gangs, ages 10 to 40, are armed...some with automatic weapons. The Negro gangs (BLOODS, CRIPS, etc.) have been replaced by the Mexican mestizo outfits like MS-13. In Long Beach, near the Los Angeles harbor, there is a struggle going on between the newly emerging Asian gangs and the mestizo's for control of the area. Thomas Chittum tinyurl.com/yqvf5m predicts that this street gang war is the beginning of what he calls "Civil War II" tinyurl.com/ypf7aa and the total disintegration of the USA. California is similar to Iraq......just waiting to rumble, as the population increases by leaps and bounds. The California population tinyurl.com/ovuh is presently about 40 million which will double in less than 20 years... LAPD cops are quitting or retiring and moving to Idaho rather than stay in LA under these mad conditions. Sidewalks in some parts of downtown LA are filthy with human waste. Cops going there sometimes put on rubber overshoes or plastic bags to keep the crap off their shoes. Mostly, they just try to stay out of those areas. So, the gangs have the streets to themselves.

Street gangs have long been a symptom of urban decline, caused by lack of gainful employment opportunities, poor educational systems, lack of productive activities for young people.
In this case we have a double whammy - with the decline in manufacturing related jobs there is little opportunity for more than burger flipping jobs for young people - little pay, no job satisfaction, no wonder they turn to the easy money and "glamor" of the gangs. But what is now different is the supercharging of gang activity by the influx of criminals who enter the country illegally. One alsways must wonder - if someone won't take the time and trouble to enter the country LEGALLY, there is a very high probability they are up to no good, or have a criminal background or both.

I just looked at some of the titles on rense.com, and would want a second source before getting real worked up over this article.
First, this guy uses the word Negro, which I haven't seen in print in a long time. Then he goes on to equate Mexicans mestizos with all the gangs. MS13 was started by Salvadorans, and may still be all Salvadoran; I don't know. This guy is short on facts.
Atty Gen. Abu Gonzalez was recently on tv, feeling sorry for the misguided gang members. It was a clip on CNN's "Lou Dobbs Tonight."
Like Lou says, "We can't reform immigration until we control it. We can't control immigration until we control our ports and borders."

I just looked at some of the titles on rense.com, and would want a second source before getting real worked up over this article. First, this guy uses the word Negro, which I haven't seen in print in a long time. Then he goes on to equate Mexicans mestizos with all the gangs. GB I also noticed the use of the words "Negro" and "mestizo." That made me a little dubious as to the author's underlying motives. Author Stacey's concern seemed just as much about race, as it did toward illegal immigration or general criminal activity. One of the other links (by author Chittum) implied we were heading toward a Civil War in this country, based on racial/ethnic divisions. I couldn't agree less with that implication. If we have a civil war in this country, it will be a class war. It'll will be the result of economic issues, not racial issures. I share more common ground with the Congressional Black Caucus, than I do with Bill Gates, George Bush, or Donald Rumsfeld. Stacey and Chittum's arguments, combined with their excessive racial "awareness," undercuts those of us who want to reduce immigration, both legal and illegal, due to the economic effects it has on American workers. As I've stated elsewhere, I want the total number of illegal immigrants reduced, as well as reducing legal avenues such as H1B visas. It doesn't matter where the millions of illegal immigrants come, or what their ethnic background is. The shear number of immigrants is the problem, because it suppresses wages and reduces employment of American citizens. This suppression would be just as bad whether they come from Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, or Latin America. The 7 million employed illegal immigrants causes just as much wage suppression, regardless of their origin. And if illegal immigrants send $23 billion/year out of the country to their families in other countries, it reduces consumer spending power the same amount, regardless of what country that money goes to, and regardless of their ethnic background. The major problems in this country are economic, not racial. Worse still, making race-related claims distracts from the true Class War that is developing, and it divides working Americans into separate factions, instead of uniting them.
