This is an excellent cause.
I especially like the part about private freeway tolls:
"freeway tolls....Create corporate welfare as privately owned corporations profit off publicly owned assets."
Amen.

The TTC (Trans Texas Corridor) pushed by Gov. Perry and supported by handpicked board members of TxDOT is not fairing well in many parts of the State, nowhere else has more opposition to the TTC occurred than along US-59 highway running from Texarkana to Laredo, through the Houston megaplex. Being designated as I-69 but also known as the Senator Lloyd Bentson hiway (for former U.S Dem Senator), Gov Perry has run up against a roadblock of pols in both the Texas Legislature and local county governments who oppose converting what has been totally a free-way of transportation for Texans and visitors into a for fee roadway operated by a consortium between Spain and a primary construction firm (H.B.Zachry) that rivals KBR/Halliburton in power.
A fight is looming on the horizon in Texas over the TTC, and one needs to know in a state where gun ownership is more than a constitutional right, things are liable to become quite bloody if or when Texas sovereignty and private property come under the control of Gov. Perry's dream highway system!

Here's a map from a blogsite named Trans Texas Corridor that is supposed to show where the Texas Corridor is supposed to run: Does this look about right?

I normally don't condone violence, but this isn't a normal situation.
I spent a few months in austin right next to Spain's latest project. It mystified me how texans could have even let that happen in the first place. I suppose as you drive more and more toll roads, the anger builds up and then you fig... "get involved".
Coincidentally, californians are having the same problem although a private tollway in san clemente was recently defeated.
