From the NY Times: Chinese Chemicals Flow Unchecked to Market "Because the chemical companies are not required to meet even minimal drug-manufacturing standards, there is little to stop them from exporting unapproved, adulterated or counterfeit ingredients. The substandard formulations made from those ingredients often end up in pharmacies in developing countries and for sale on the Internet, where more Americans are turning for cheap medicine."Full story here: www.nytimes.com/2007/10/31/world/asia/31chemical.html?em&ex=1193976000&en=3eaca721bfe77095&ei=5087%0A

Dr. Sanjay Gupta on CNN this morning said half the ingredients of prescription and OTC drugs come from Communist China. Virtually all the penicillin comes from them, too, as with 80% of vitamin C, and even apple juice.
80% of our seafood is imported from who knows where, and 15% of all our food is from Commie China, with maybe 1% being inspected at all.
Meanwhile, the head of the Consumer Product Safety Commission, a Bu$h appointee, doesn't want more budget so she can do her job. After all, she's from the toy industry.
Just recently a US company went out of business after recalling over a million pounds of tainted meat. All 90 employees lost their jobs. How do 90 people process and sell a million pounds of meat? Methinks the meat came from China. Now, Cargill is recalling a million pounds of meat products for e-coli. Where did that come from?
