www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2008/04/25/BAU310AJJ9.DTLLove her or hate her, I believe she is the best canidate to represent the heavily left leaning viewpoint of San Francisco's U.S congressional district. Nancy Pelosi has been heavily corrupted, in my opinion, by lobbyists and refuses to support resolutions for the impeachment of George Bush, even though Bush has broken many laws (illegal wiretaping, bailout of Bear Stearns, War in Iraq, just to name a few.) At the very least I would vote for Cindy just to get rid of another corrupt politician in the system. Sadly I do not live in that district or state, but may contribute to Cindy Sheehan's campaign if she gets on the ballot.

The article says that Sheehan's biggest obstacle is getting the 10,000+ signatures she needs. However, it also says she's raised over $100,000. There are places that specialize in gathering signatures -- some charging as little as $1/signature. If she actually has $100K, she could get the signatures with about 1/10th of that amount.
I spoke with a signature gatherer myself, when I tried unsuccessfully to get on the ballot in my own district. But I didn't have the money to pay for a signature gatherer. Sheehan does, and that should be her 1st campaign investment.

Three cheers for Ms Sheehan!! someone needs to challenge DLC Pelosi - one of the weakest and most ineffective speakers in a generation. Too bad I can't vote for here.
Its about tiome we got rid of these free tradin, pro war dems in congress and continue the gains made last election - its DLC dems that stand in the way of true reform
