Very interesting. This is the 1st I've heard about this.
It's hard to understand why American supply of food seems to be so limited. This supply shortage would certainly fit with huge run-up in food prices.
This is what happens when the economy turns away from production, and toward strictly financial capitalism. We've not only are we losing our ability to produce manufactured good, our ability to produce food is declining as well.
