Doug Short often publishes the Consumer Metrics Institute results with modified charts about 3 times per week with commentary.

Their data is NOT the same as commonly released and focuses more on 'discretionary' consumer spending.

I recommend Doug Short's site to get this info with excellent charts.

I like Short's site. His graphics show that the Consumer Metrics Index is still declining, despite the rise in GDP.

This is exactly the way most Americans feel--that despite the fallacious, concocted GDP increase, their own status is sinking.

The chart shows that Consumer Metrics were increasing earlier in the year, and then fell back down. This happened in spite of the allegedly increasing GDP.



Despite the rantings of the Obamatocracy and the Corporate media punditocracy, our economy is again sinking--and rapidly.
