While trying to resolve my speed problem, Earthkink gave me this link: www.bandwidthplace.com/ . . Just hit the test button, and it runs a test and tells you the speed of your connection. I don't know how truthful it is in real numbers, but the relative numbers will tell you if any device is hogging bandwith. GB

I've got something similar on my computer from Time Warner/Road Runner. It also allegedly gives the speed. But the biggest benefit is that with repeated tests, it increases the speed of your computer. (At least that's what it says it's doing after each speed check.)
